A Prayer to St. Jude

Danny Thomas was coming home and he stepped into a church and was so moved he gave his last seven dollars as an offering. He made a prayer and pledge to St. Jude that he would build a shrine if he could make his way in show business. The next day a job and seven times the money he gave came back to him. He worked very hard and God opened doors for him. He became a legend on stage, radio, in nightclubs, motion pictures, and television. He became a producer and helped a lot of people flourish in their careers. He never forgot his promise and he succeeded in raising money to build St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN. No matter what he accomplished in his life, it is this facility and his family which are his greatest legacies.
